JE Forged Aluminium Piston Short Deck 1.25"  87mm TR2-4. For use with 3/4" longer conrods .  Compression height of 1.25." Compression height is the distance measured between the centre of the gudgeon pin and the piston deck. Also known as "Deck height."  Fitting longer conrods in combination with shorter compression height pistons reduces piston speed and piston skirt contact area. In high revving competition engines it increases component life and reliability.
Supplied complete with rings,pin and clips.

Please note we are also able to offer these pistons with an intruder or dome instead of the flat top version listed here. This is useful on race engines of 87mm bore size where high compression ratios are hard to achieve without excessive skimming of the cylinder head. Please enquire if you would like further details.
